Elden Ring has a new patch update, and Bandai Namco has released the list of fixes and what has been improved in patch note 1.04. Here are the key takeaways of what players can expect from the new patch update.
The Elden Ring Patch 1.04 is available across all console devices, and players will need to download it before they can keep playing the game. The update is divided into four main categories, namely Major Changes, fixes for Sorceries/Incantations, Weapon fixes, and bug fixes.
Major Changes
Patches will be having a new event phase in the game, as well as some adjustments to the in-game camera. Colossal weapons and Greatswords will have increased damage and physical block rates, while certain spells will have decreased scaling for status effect build-up. The animation for madness affliction will be shortened, as well as the speed for its buildup recovery will be reduced. Players at lower levels will be glad to know that there is a slight increase in FP and Stamina growth rate.
Sorceries/Incantations
Most Sorceries and Incantations have been buffed, with a lot of spells having increased cast speed and less recovery time. This is great news for any player who uses intelligence and faith builds, as they need less time to recover and more time to dodge enemy attacks while casting. Some spells like Toph’s Barrier have increased AOE, and most of them have a slight increase in effect duration. There are few spells like Rykard’s Rancor and Magma Shot that costs lesser FP than usual, while Lightning Strike and other spells alike will use lesser Stamina. Adula’s Moonblade, Flame, Fall Upon Them, and Howl of Shabriri have decreased power and madness buildup on enemies while also having improved hits. The Swarm of Flies, The Flame of Frenzy, and Frenzied Burst have nerfed status effect buildup on enemies.
Weapon Skills
Most swords, staffs, and other weapons in Elden Ring have been buffed. The new patch offers increased cast speed, and decreased recovery time, while some weapons need less FP and Stamina to use. Flaming Strike has increased travel distance, and the Black Flame Tornado has a hitbox while spinning and a small window is added to cancel the animation strike by rolling. Some weapons like the Moonlight Greatsword have increased status effect buildup on enemies. Only the Thundercloud Form has decreased damage while activating with a short press.
Bug Fixes
Bandai Namco has released a whole list of bug fixes, both major and minor, to Elden Ring. Now if there is a quest that didn’t hand out rewards, issues with hotkeys, or missing NPCs/Bosses, it has been rectified.
