While you can set up the jumpthrow keybind command, you will have to input it every time you load the game. There is a way to bind the command to your keyboard settings, so you don’t have to reset the keybind every time. The process for a permanent jumpthrow keybind is fairly simple. You will first have to locate the CS:GO Steam Directory folder in file explorer. It will probably be located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\. Now, open up your Notepad and save it in the CS:GO folder you just opened with the file name autoexec.cfg. Inside the notepad file, input the following text:
alias “+jumpthrow” “+jump;-attack”; alias “-jumpthrow” “-jump”; bind alt “+jumpthrow”
You will be using the ALT key here to perform the jumpthrow. If you are not comfortable with the Alt key setup, you can change it to any key you wish by changing the alt setting in the last part of the command text. Save the file once you are done.
Now that’s done, launch the Steam app and head over to the Library. Find CS:GO in the list, then right-click on it and hit Properties. On the General tab, under the Launch Options section, input the following text: +exec autoexec.cfg
This will permanently bind the jumpthrow option to CS:GO, so you won’t have to keep loading it into your keybind settings every time you launch the game.
