Here are some of the status effects that have been confirmed in Pokémon Legends Arceus.
Paralyze
Similar to the previous Pokémon games, any Pokémon that has been affected by Paralyze will be slow or unable to move and attack. These Pokémon will have reduced speed, making them delay turns and thus making them easier to catch. There has been no official cure announced but is speculated that the Cheri Berry might help cure a Paralyzed Pokémon.
Unaware
Any Pokémon affected by the unaware status condition will not be able to perform any moves. To inflict Unaware on a while Pokémon, you can sneak up on them and throw a Poke ball that you can get from your party members. So far no cure has been confirmed for this status condition.
While the above two are the confirmed status effects that will be available in the game, below are some that are not confirmed but are speculated to be in the game once it is released.
Poison
Any Pokémon that is under the effects of Poison will have its HP gradually reduced at every turn. Even if the Pokémon does not faint after the battle ends, its Poison Status will continue to inflict damage till the Trainer can cure it. Using a Pecha Berry or Poison Antidote can help cure a Poisoned Pokémon.
Burn
Similar to the Poison status effect, Burn will also inflict reduced HP at every turn on a burn-affected Pokémon, and also reduce its Attack Stat. Using Burn Heal or Rawst Berry on a Burn Pokémon can help cure it.
Sleep
The Sleeping status effect will put Pokémon to sleep for 2-5 turns. They will be unable to move during this time. To wake a sleeping Pokémon, use Awakening or Chesto Berry on them.
Frostbite
Any Pokémon affected by Freeze will not be able to make any move. Thawing them out on their own takes a random amount of turns, so it is best to use Ice Heal or Aspear Berry to get them out of the Freeze status effect immediately. Alternatively, you can use a Fire-Type Pokémon on the one frozen to remove the status effect.
Drowsy
Any Pokémon hit by moves like Hypnosis will become Drowsy and makes them miss while attacking while taking more damage. No cure for Drowsy has been found yet.
Obscured
This status effect can be gained when a Pokémon hides out of sight, giving them a chance to evade attacks. There is no cure or solution for when a Pokémon uses Obscured.
These status effects have been speculated to be in Pokémon Legends Arceus based on the previous Pokémon titles. To know more, you can check out our other guides on the site.
