In this guide, we will take you through the process of how to increase IVs in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
How to Boost IVs in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
IVs or Individual Values are a number that is given to each Pokemon for them to have some unique stats or stat potential. They are hidden and randomly determined even if the Pokemon is from the same species. If you want to know how you can increase the IVs of a Pokemon, you’re in the right place.

When you catch a Pokemon, the IV is randomly and automatically generated. Usually, it is not under the player’s control as the game decides the value of the Pokemon. The numbers run from 0 to 31, and the higher the better.
At level 100, each IV of the Pokemon will correspond to a single stat point, which means that two Pokemons with the same Nature and EV Spread, will have different stats which depend on their IV.
You will not be able to change the IVs of your Pokemon in the initial stages of the game. However, once you have unlocked the Hyper Training feature in the game, you will be able to do so. First, you need to travel to Montenevera where you will find an NPC next to an Abomasnow.
The exact location of the NPC is behind the Montenevera Poke Center. Interact with him in order to begin Hyper Training at the price of a Bottle Cap or a Gold Bottle Cap. These are quite valuable items, so you will need to grind for them. You can buy Bottle Caps from the Delibird Present Shops for 20,000 Poke Dollars or League Points.
Once you’ve paid the NPC what they want, select your Pokemon to begin the Training. It needs to be at least level 50. In a few moments, the IV of your Pokemon will increase.
