- The gacha system should be rewarding enough to make the free-to-play players viable in the game.
- The pity system of the game
- The game must have an end game that provides sufficient rewards for the players who spend on the account
- The game must be casual and friendly enough to have them and make sure they dont stay behind too much.
There are more things to add to the list like inventory space management, interactive map and quality of life features but these can be added to the game after the release.
In my opinion, if the game has all of the above things, it has the potential to surpass Genshin Impact. Wuthering Waves seems to have most of the things but the gameplay video and trailers don’t show the real face of the game. The most important thing is that they have not shown the pity system and how it works and that’s the most important thing for spenders and free-to-play players.
NOTE: Genshin Impact also has a very big community for arts, music and theory crafting.
In my opinion, Wuthering Wave has the potential to become the next go-to game for gacha players. The first few months of gameplay and updates will make sure if it is going to become the Genshin Impact Killer which players want it to be or if it will fail to meet the expectation.
At this point, we can only speculate and wait for the official beta or the leaks and gameplay from the previous gameplay showcase.
