The first quest after you start the Knights of the Nine DLC in Oblivion Remastered is the Pilgrimage where you have to find 9 Wayshrines which are a special kind of shrines scattered throughout the land of Cyrodiil. However, you can not find these shrines on the map and it can be quite meticulous to find them. However, this guide will discuss how to get to each of these shrines and complete the Pilgrimage quest.
How to Complete the Pilgrimage Quest in Oblivion Remastered?
The first mission of the Knights of the Nine DLC in Oblivion Remastered is the “Pilgrimage” quest. You have to find a prophet in Anvil, who can be seen across the street from the Chapel of Dibella. Once you’re done conversing with him, the quest will start automatically and you’ll receive a Wayshrines Map from him. However, this map only reveals a nearby location of the shrines and doesn’t particularly locate them. So you’ll have to find these shrines which can get quite challenging.
Location of the Shrines in Pilgrimage Quest
Wayshrine of Arkay Location
Located between Anvil and Kvatch, not far from the road that runs between them, is the Wayshrine of Arkay. Heading west along the main road from Kvatch takes us to a section where the road abruptly turns north, which looks like a little bump on the map. You’ll find the Wayshrine of Arkay located right in a little tree grove if you follow slightly northwest. As numerous wolves stalk the hills of the gold coast, staying cautious as you get closer to the shrine is necessary.
Wayshrine of Mara Location
Fast travel to the Grateful Pass Stables besides the western edge of Skingrad to begin your journey towards the Wayshrine of Mara. You can search the area on the map which aligns with the “S” of Skingrad to search for this shrine. It is located just below the “S” and the most efficient way to look for the shrine is to make a perfect northwestern beeline from the stables.
Wayshrine of Dibella Location
Start your search for this shrine from Weynon Priory outside Chorrol. Make sure to head directly south from the priory and you’ll stumble upon the shrine fairly quickly. It might get a bit difficult to locate the shrine because it is located below a raised land. However, check the map and follow it strictly to not miss out on the shrine.
Wayshrine of Akatosh Location
As the location on the Pilgrim’s Way map is somewhat confusing to navigate, the Wayshrine of Arkay might be difficult to locate if you don’t know the precise location. Close off the Orange Road, this shrine is located at the south of Bruma. Fast-traveling to the Wildeye Stables outside of Bruma and walking straight south to the Orange Road is the most efficient method to get there. Turn west when you come to the Orange Road. Keep an eye on the north side of the road just south of Bruma’s center for the flight of stairs there. Follow north to the stairs, to get directly to Akatosh Wayshrine
Wayshrine of Julianos Location
This is quite a difficult shrine to locate among the other shrines mentioned in the list. There are POIs near it so it can be quite challenging to come across this shrine. You can travel here from Imperial City as it is located towards the east from Red Ring Road. This surrounds the Imperial City and connects to the Yellow Road. At the point where the two roads meet, you’ll find this on the north side. It can be troublesome to locate in the dark, however, wait for the time to pass and try looking for it in daylight.
Wayshrine of Kynareth Location
The Wayshrine of Kynareth is a tough shrine due its location far to the east . In the Pilgrim’s Way map , one will see the marker is near the Silverfish River, which heads north and south near the eastern edge of the map and in the northern section of the river on the map, it looks like an arrow that is pointing west. One can find the shrine between the lake and the arrow, north of the tip.If one finds the Deserted Mine on the north, walk directly south and the shrine is there.
Wayshrine of Talos Location
The Wayshrine of Talos is one of three shrines that is on south from Imperial City and connects the Upper Niben River. One can head south from Imperial City, or return to the area around the Wayshrine of Julianos to reach it . If you do the second , you’ll want to cross the river to the west and After the bridge turn , move south and one will encounter Fort Alessia. Move directly south from Fort Alessia, and one will see the shrine .
Wayshrine of Zenithar
The shrine can be found in two ways, either you can start from the Wayshrine of Talos and ride south along the river and you’ll reach the Veyond Cave and If you ride past Veyond Cave you’ll easily see the shrine or one can take Bay Roan Stables outside Bravil, then ride north along the bay.
Wayshrine of Stendarr Location
The Wayshrine of Stendarr is situated to the south, in between Bravil and Leyawiin. As it is evident on the map ,it is easy to locate it . The area has very little landmarks. The efficient way to the shrine is to travel north from Leyawiin. One will encounter the Rockmilk Cave which indicates one is near to the shrine.
