One of the things that will happen in the course of the alien-fighting game, is that you will encounter an alien invasion. This happens when you pick up Kenny off the body of a dead alien at the beginning of the game. You will eventually retire from to house to take a break in the middle of it, so it might occur to you to take a nap.
On entering your house with the talking gun, you will come across your human sister Lizzie, who is holding a baseball bat over the body of a dead alien. When Kenny asks you for something from the microwave, you will regain control of your character and explore the house. In your room upstairs, you will come across your bed.
If you try to go to bed during the alien invasion, your sister will scold you about your faulty priorities. So as it turns out, you actually can’t make it to your bed and sleep it off. Your sister will stop you from sleeping away the invasion, for good reason.
