Overwatch 2 is Blizzard’s latest shooter video game and the sequel to the 2016 game Overwatch. The prequel Overwatch was massively successful, so players have a high-expectations from the sequel. If you have played games like Fortnite, COD, Apex Legends, etc., it is pretty natural that you have seen Battle Passes and have an idea of how it works in these games.
Blizzard has recently uncovered the Overwatch 2 Battle Pass, and in this guide, we will help you know what you can expect to have in the Overwatch 2 Battle Pass.
Overwatch 2 Battle Pass Tiers and Rewards Explained
Blizzard probably has the aim to make Overwatch 2 a never-ending game like Fortnite or COD. Like these games, in Overwatch 2, only new seasons come after a certain interval, but the game will run as always. So, this Battle Pass feature is launched. Through the Battle Pass, players can get lots of attractive rewards like Skins, Weapons, Emblems, Emotes, etc., as they always get in games like COD and Fortnite.
The game features two types of Battle Passes- Free and Premium. There are a total of 80 tiers in the Battle Pass to unlock, and players can only get one reward for every tier in the Free Battle pass, whereas most of the rewards are for the Premium Battle Pass owners. The Premium Battle Pass costs 1000 Overwatch Coins means $10.
If you are not used to the Battle Pass system and want to try the Free Battle Pass first, you can do that. You can purchase the Premium Battle Pass later, and the levels you have unlocked in your Free Battle Pass, you’ll get all the rewards available from those levels as soon as you unlock the Premium Battle Pass. You can start from your Current level, no matter when you purchase the Premium Battle Pass.
As much as we have heard that each Battle Pass of Overwatch 2 will last for nine weeks means, each Season of Overwatch 2 will run for nine weeks. As soon as the Battle Pass ends, the Season ends. Every game with a Battle Pass has the same rule, and as the Season ends, players have to start from the beginning of the new Season. Each Season a new Battle Pass will be introduced, and players have to start leveling up from the beginning. Players can’t carry their Battle Pass progression to the new Season.
That’s all you need to know about the Battle Pass Tiers and rewards in Overwatch 2. Every game with battle-pass has almost the same rule. So, if you have played Battle Pass games before, it won’t be challenging to understand how to level up in Battle Pass in Overwatch 2. Players need to get XP by completing Daily and Weekly Challenges. The more you level up, the more Battle Pass Tiers will unlock.
