D.Va, the heroine who balances a pro-gamer lifestyle with the full-time duty to defend her homeland from invaders, returns for Overwatch 2. Her real name is Hana Song, and she is a Meka operator – defending South Korea by piloting her mech suit against the dreaded deep-sea Gwishin army of mechanical beasts lurking below.
Having changed up her hairstyle this time around in addition to sporting new colors on both Mechs and Battle suits in Overwatch 2, D.Va has become stronger than ever before; shifting over to being a tank class hero to take all sorts of heavy hits while also gaining power because there can only be one tank class hero per team now instead of two.
Let’s see all the D.Va Changes in Overwatch 2.

All D.Va Changes
D.Va remains a powerful tank in Overwatch 2, with a few key changes. She now has a passive ability that reduces knockback, making her even harder to disrupt. Additionally, she gains less Ultimate charge from taking damage, making it more important to stay alive and play cautiously.
With her excellent mobility, she can easily fly around the map, protecting her team from all angles and picking off any flankers who try to attack her backline. She’s an invaluable asset to any team and an excellent choice for tanking in Overwatch 2.
Following are all the D.Va Changes:
- The cost of Call Mech Ultimate was cut by 12%.
- The health of the mech boosted to 650 from 600.
- D.Va’s health went up from 300 to 350.
- Micro Missiles’ 8-second cooldown has been lowered to 7 seconds.
- The movement speed penalty for Va’s primary fire decreased from 50% to 40%.
- The booster’s damage output increased from 10 to 25. Also, more boops will be coming.
While the changes to D.Va’s health and ultimate might not seem very big compared to other tanks, they’ll still help her stay alive just a little longer. The increased health will make it even more survivable, especially with the decreased cost of the ultimate. This means you can get back into your mech faster after respawning.
