Overwatch 2 was released last week across multiple platforms and had its fair share of problems at launch. Some users with pre-paid phones had trouble logging in due to Blizzard being plagued by a massive DDoS attack, while others complained about minor bugs popping up everywhere they went.
But the real kicker? It took Blizzard only one day to fix these issues – though pushing out several patches throughout the past few days – which include removing two heroes (Bastian and Torbjorn) from the game who are causing their own problems.

Why are Bastian and Torbjorn not Playable?
Blizzard has taken Bastion and Torbjorn off the selectable hero list in Overwatch 2 due to bugs with their ability kits, as confirmed by the official Overwatch Twitter account. Bastion was completely removed from all modes of play, and he cannot even be customized now, while Torbjorn is still playable in Quick Play mode and can be customized.
Ever since several users reported a bug with Bastion’s performance during their last attack, there have been issues. This glitch allows players to keep shooting even though they’re supposed to have a limit of three bullets.
At the moment, Torbjorn is locked in the competitive mode because a bug allows players to extend the time limit of his overload ability, giving him a significant advantage over other users. Blizzard is currently working on a fix for this issue.
So far, no announcement has been made about how long these two heroes will be inaccessible in the game’s competitive modes. As soon as Blizzard releases more information, we will update this. Some players may find this decision strange as it halts one of the game’s best DPS champions, preventing them from playing their go-to hero.
We will keep you updated on this matter as soon as we receive any official announcements or updates. Meanwhile, you can check our other guides for more information on the game.
