Starting from 25th January, Overwatch’s Lunar New Year event will be celebrating the Year of the Tiger. Usually, this is done with new custom content for the players of the game to incite excitement for the seasonal event. Over the years, Overwatch has had many in-game events for Winter and Halloween, and are slowly being inclusive of more cultures—because the more the merrier, Activision Blizzard teases players with a glimpse at new skins for fan favourites Mercy and Tracer as festive Legendary skins players can unlock.
Overwatch Announces Lunar New Year Skins for Tracer
The first of these skins is for Tracer who gets another Lunar New Year skin with Nezha, who is a protective deity in Chinese folk religion called the “lotus prince.” The Legendary skin features a light green, red and gold outfit with hair pulled back into two decorated buns. The gold breastplate in front contains the lotus motif, and Tracer also has the Wind Fire Wheels which gives them the ability to fly as well as the power of speed.
This will be Tracer’s third Lunar New Year skin after Rose and Hong Gildong from the previous years.
