The Sunbreak addition for Monster Hunter Rise introduced lots of new challenges, ranging from new landscapes to new monsters to a completely new difficulty level. Fortunately, it also offered a slew of new tools for hunters to use in the process.
There are new armour and weapon sets, as well as new Switch Skills for each weapon, which may be changed on the fly with the Switch Skill Swap ability. While out hunting, you may also make use of a plethora of extra endemic life, such as the new Hunting Helper: the Marionette Spider.
In this guide, we will see what Marionette Spiders do in the Game.

Using Marionette Spiders in Monster Hunter Rise
Marionette spiders are relatives of Puppet spiders. As a result, they employ their web to confine creatures. Instead of allowing you to ride monsters, Marionette Spiders may be employed to swiftly draw creatures toward you.
This is very beneficial for preventing monsters from escaping and relocating, particularly if they’re low on health and you can kill them off swiftly.
To do so, go to the action bar and choose the Marionette Spider:
- Then press Y (on Nintendo Switch) to hurl the spider at a monster.
- You may also improve your aim by holding ZR (right trigger) before throwing.
- When you hit a creature with the spider, a thread will connect to it.
- Pressing Y again will bring the creature closer to you, staggering it.
- This is quite effective, as it will usually put you face to face with your target, well inside melee range.
But be careful not to waste this precious help. The thread will dissolve if you travel too far away from the objective, and you will lose the Marionette Spider. If you wait too long before withdrawing your target, the thread will be removed as well.
So the goal of Monster Hunter Rise in this guide was to unlock and use Buddy Recon. More details about the game may be found in our guides area.
