How to Unlock Mastery Camo?
There are two types of camos in Call of Duty: MW2 – Base camos and Mastery camos.
- Base camos are unlocked by completing a specific challenge with a weapon, which will task players with completing from one to four objectives.
- Mastery camos, on the other hand, are unlocked by completing all base challenges with a weapon.
To unlock mastery camos in COD: Modern Warfare 2, you must complete four weapon-specific challenges: Gold, Platinum, Polyatomic, and Orion. These become available simply by leveling up your chosen weapon.
Here’s how to unlock the 4 Weapon Specific Challenge:
Gold Camo
To unlock the gold camo, simply complete all the base camos for a weapon. It’s always the same challenge, but it’s worth it because you’ll get 2-3 kills with the weapon without dying a certain number of times.
Platinum Camo
You can unlock the platinum camo for weapons in the AR, SMG, LMG, etc categories by unlocking gold on the same number of weapons in each category as there were at launch. This challenge is also the same for all weapons in the same category. Also, remember that the platinum camo must be earned for each weapon individually.
Polyatomic Camo
To unlock polyatomic camo, earn platinum on 51 weapons in the game. This challenge is also the same for all weapons in the same category. Also, remember that the polyatomic camo must be earned for each weapon individually.
Orion Camo
To unlock orion camo, earn polyatomic on 51 weapons in the game. Once earned, the orion camo will unlock for any weapon with polyatomic camo.
