Fans who have downloaded the DLC for The Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning will be taken for a ride in Mithros, a new region of Faeland. It adds up to six hours’ worth of additional content with many new items, mechanics, and side quests. If you have already started exploring, you would have come across chaos potions. Here we will see what they are and how to brew them.
How to Make Chas Potions
If you have been traveling around for a while, you would have more than likely come across the Chaos Potion recipes. Even if you haven’t, most probably you would have already started to collect some chaos essence, which is needed for the chaos potions.
To start making it, you will first need to make some advancements in the expansion’s main storyline. You will have to reach almost at the end of The Broken Crown quest till you are presented with the quest. You will have to infiltrate the Great Library and solve the ward puzzle to get the encased tome. After that, return to Skald’s Forge and find Skald and give her the tome. She will reward you with the chaos potion recipes. There are two of them; the Greater Chaos Refuge and the Greater Chaos Touch.
From this point forward you will be able to make chaos potions as usual. To brew the potion:
- Go to the Alchemical Lab
- Select the potion
You will need enough reagents to make the potion first. You can buy more potion recipes from Cortius Belcher at Gale Crossing.
You will need chaos essence and reagents if you are planning on making the chaos potion. The ingredients and quantity vary from potion to potion. For chaos essence, you will need to go to chaos portals that are found along Mithros and collect the essence from the flower buds. There are only 25 chaos portals in the game and can only be visited one time. If you are interested in brewing more chaos potions, you can invest in the alchemy skill tree, as the higher the alchemy level is the more increase in reagent yield rates while harvesting.
This is all there is to know about how to start brewing your own Chaos Potion in the game.
