Free 4-star event weapons are periodically made available by Genshin Impact as incentives for particular events. Players have access to strong alternatives with these weapons to improve the skills and battle ability of their characters. These weapons are often obtained through completing event quests, taking part in time-limited challenges, or hitting predetermined milestones. For players who may not have many high-tier weapons in their inventory, these free event weapons can be a useful addition.

The Ibis Piercer is a brand new 4-star bow which can be obtained for free from the TCG flagship event called Duel! The Summoners’ Summit in Genshin Impact Version 3.7. One can also obtain the refinement materials to max refine the bow to Refinement 5 from the event itself. Players must participate and play all the event quests and mini-games to unlock these rewards.

Attributes of the Ibis Piercer

The Ibis Piercer has a Base ATK of 565 and a secondary attribute of 27.6% ATK bonus. Its passive effect will increase the wielding character’s EM by 40 within 6s after their Charged Attacks hit opponents. This can stack up to 2 times only. This effect can be triggered once every 0.5s. Thus a bow character can get up to a maximum of 80 EM from this weapon in addition to the ATK% boost.

The weapon is aimed at the recent Dendro meta and will thus be relevant to the current gameplay of the game. Characters that can make use of this bow to its fullest extent are as follows:

The reason Fischl is on that list is that even though she has better options, the Ibis Piercer could be a great F2P start for any newer players or even veterans who don’t have any of her best options. Characters that rely on Elemental Mastery and the reactions that they generate, such as Tighnari, Yoimiya, and perhaps even Ganyu, may see a great benefit while equipping Ibis Piercer. It can also serve as a reliable ATK% stat stick for any bow character that needs it.

As an English Masters graduate, I always dreamt of becoming a writer as a profession. Alas! I was led astray by anime and gaming. I enjoy open-world RPGs that encourage exploration with easy but flashy combat along the way. Art and aesthetics also matter immensely to me so even in games my characters tend to stare off into space. If I’m not gaming or watching anime I’m probably just asleep and dreaming.
