Tighnari is the first 5-star Dendro character in the game and he’s currently featured in his own banner in the Version 3.0 Genshin Impact update. He’s a sub-DPS unit that you can swap and switch to deal tons of Dendro damage. As a sub-DPS, he needs energy recharge and damage to accomplish his job. As a Dendro unit, he needs elemental mastery for optimum damage and reactions. In this article, we’ll talk about his best weapons- including his F2P options for maximum damage and viability.
Tighnari’s Best Weapons in Genshin Impact 3.0
As a 5-star bow user, Tighnari has several options to choose from. It’s a good thing that most weapons are at least functional on him by benefitting him one way or another. Overall you want to be looking for weapons that give or buff Crit, elemental damage, charged attack damage, energy recharge, and elemental mastery. We’ve listed some of the best weapons for him, keeping in mind their affordability.
F2P
These are weapons most players will have lying around in their inventories or ones they can craft at their local blacksmith.
Slingshot
Slingshot is a 3-star weapon and an excellent and solid choice for Tighnari. With its Crit Rate main stat, it allows you to build your Tighnari with a balanced Crit Rate to Crit DMG ratio. Even though its passive does not synergise with Tighnari’s kit, this bow still manages to outperform the new Sumeru craftable bow- The King’s Squire.
Windblume Ode
The Windblume Ode is an event weapon that newer players might not have but it’s a free weapon most players have the maximum refinement of. The weapon has an elemental mastery main stat and its passive also synergises perfectly with Tighnari’s kit.
Prototype Crescent
Prototype Crescent is a better craftable bow than the King’s Squire from Sumeru. Besides you won’t need the Midlander Billet to craft this one. The weapon gives a solid and healthy attack boost to Tighnari and its passive only works if you’re good with aiming and hitting weak points of enemies. Enemies which don’t have a weak point won’t trigger its passive. Overall- a great choice but needs a skilled player to wield.
4-Star Weapons for Tighnari
In our 4-star options, we have weapons from the Gacha system or the Battle Pass. Either you depend on your luck on the Gacha or you spend for it.
The Stringless
The Stringless is a really simple but powerful weapon for Tighnari. Its E skill and burst-boosting passive and its EM main stat both benefit Tighnari enough to make this a balanced and powerful weapon option for him.
Viridescent Hunt
The Viridescent Hunt is a Battle Pass weapon which is great for Tighnari but it surprisingly also fits with his colour palette. The Crit Rate main stat is really powerful and though Tighnari may not use its full passive effects, he can certainly use its grouping ability when dealing with low-tier mobs like hilichurls or slimes.
Sacrificial Bow
The Sacrificial Bow may not be the best damage-wise but it does overcome his energy needs. At refinement 5 you can trigger his E skill twice thus dealing twice the damage. The only downside is that it will require him to stay on-field longer which makes him vulnerable and may mess up your rotations. The upside is that it’s very fun.
5-Star
The 5-star options naturally will require you to pull on weapon banners for the respective weapons. These of course do provide the maximum damage and one of them is usually handmade for your corresponding 5-star character.
Hunter’s Path
The Hunter’s Path is of course his best-in-slot considering how it’s his signature weapon. The weapon has a high Crit Rate main stat and provides a flat all-elemental damage bonus. Additionally, it also provides bonus charged attack damage scaling off of his elemental mastery.
Polar Star
The Polar Star is another Crit Rate main stat weapon and it has a balanced and powerful passive. Though it’s still unclear if Tighnari can wield the weapon’s full potential, he certainly can draw out the majority of it. Its damage also goes toe to toe with other weapons on this list.
Aqua Simulacra
This is ideally the weapon you want to build- not just for Tighnari but also for your other bow users as it’s a balanced and versatile bow that works on most dps-bow users. The weapon not only gives you a high Crit Damage bonus but also increases your wielder’s survivability and damage when enemies are nearby.
It’s surprising for a 5-star unit to work so well with a 3-star weapon but it’s also a good thing. For newer players who don’t have the 5-star weapons or the 4-star ones or lack the resources to build them, they can try out the Slingshot until they get better options. If you have none of the above options built then we also recommend you go for the Slingshot to test Tighnari out and see if he works for you.
