The compost building is a pretty useful structure once you unlock it, because you will be able to make something useful out of waste. The useful item is fertilizer, which comes from the Compost Yard. The first thing you will need to do is place the Compost Yard in your village and let the worker collect the villagers’ waste.
They will take the waste to the Compost Yard and put it on the Compost Pile. All you need to do is click on the Compost Yard. This will bring up the menu of the Compost Pile which should say “Ready” for you to use it. You can click on this pile and select the field to fertilize.
When choosing the field, you should pick one which has low fertility. After you have done so, the worker will take the compost to fertilize the field. In this way, you can use the compost building to increase the fertility of your farming lands.
