As you play Madden 22, you will find yourself in situations when you need to use the dive. So, you must be wondering how to dive in Madden 22. Press the R2 on PlayStation, RT on Xbox, and L-Shift on PC to Sprint, and then press the Square on PlayStation, X on Xbox, and Q on PC to Dive.

Another important thing to note is that the control for the slide and dive is the same in the game with a slight difference that players may fail to note. When you want to perform the dive, you need to hold the button for a while longer, 2 seconds and the player will dive.

As it’s with most parts of the game, the timing of the dive will judge its effectiveness. When not timed correctly, the dive can backfire getting the player injured or you could fumble. When you have defenders in the way diving is not the right move. You want to dive to gain some extra yard; hence, perform it in a clear field not when players are dead ahead of you.
