When you first start playing the game, your resonance slots will be limited. You will need resonance slots to fill it up with blood that will, in turn, boost your stats. You can upgrade these slots, and that will give you enough room to store more blood. To do this, you will have to feast on Entity soldiers. Each time you manage you kill and drink the blood from one, you can get one extra resonance slot for any stat. Each resonance slot color corresponds with a different stat. Melancholic or purple slots affect your primary ability, while Phlegmatic or green slots affect your secondary abilities. Potent or red slots are for extra life, Choleric or orange slot for melee damage, and Sanguine or pink slots for health regeneration.
You can choose the stats you want to boost after killing Entity soldiers, but each boost only lasts for one match. To find these NPCs, you can check all the red crosses on the map to spot them. Be careful while trying to hunt them, since they are armed and are not afraid to use their weapons on you.
