The Pokémon Go Community Day Event will start from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time today, 7th January. During this time, you can bump into Chespin more frequently. You won’t just get a chance to catch the normal variant, but with some luck, you can also catch the shiny variant of Chespin. Chespin’s shiny form will be a bit rare to find, but you will find one during the allotted time. Trainers who have the Raid Pass and the Premium Battle Pass can access 4-Star Raids, and during this time the Quilladin Raid will show up in the area. After you battle one, you can find Chespins spawning around the Raid area for 30 minutes right after. This is also a great opportunity to catch a shiny Chespin.
Once you catch a Chespin, you can evolve it into Quilladin and Chesnaught. If you manage to evolve Chespin to its final evolution form between 2 p.m to 10 p.m local time on the 7th of January, you will get a chance to make Chesnaught learn Charged Attack Frenzy Plant. Besides that, participating in the Community Day event will give you plenty of rewards, ranging from Candies for catching Pokémon, activation of Incense and Lure Modules, and discounted Stardust while Trading.
