The enemy that you need to look out for are Praetorian Golems. Though they are rare to find, you will usually encounter them on the top level of the Sea of Bygone Eras. There are a handful of them in the northwestern section of the Sea of Bygone Eras map, so investigate the area thoroughly to find them. The southwestern section is also home for a few Praetorian Golems, so it is worth a shot trying to look for them. Besides the Sea of Bygone Eras, they can also be spotted in Petrichor Island. Behind the mountains on the east side of the island is a lake where the Praetorian Golem is on patrol. Tackle it to farm Ruined Hilt from it.
Another great place to search is Faded Castle in the Nostoi Region. They are especially concentrated around the north to northeastern section of the castle grounds, as well as the western sections. You wont find them in the southern central section or the main area of the castle, so check the above mentioned areas instead. You can come here several times to farm the Ruined Hilt ascension material
