Fishing is an important part of Sonic Frontiers as you will be able to progress through the game quicker if you are good at it. However, you will need to collect some purple fishing coins to unlock your chances of fishing. These are quite rare, but they are worth looking around for.

You will be able to find purple fishing coins around the map of Starfall Island. As you explore the areas, you will come across some of these coins dotted around one another. They usually come in groups of five and stick to places near the structures.

A great way to collect these coveted coins is during the Starfall event which occurs in the game every few nights. You will be able to use the slot machine and collect star fragments which fall from the sky. Once you have enough star fragments, the slot machine will spin and you can get your rewards. When you have three icons on Bar or Koco, you will get a lot of purple fishing coins.

It’s a good idea to stock up on these coins as you will only need more of them as the game progresses to higher levels.
