As a time trial, you will have a minute to destroy the four moving towers who are trying to attack you as well. Once you have figured out a strategy, it’s actually quite easy to bring them down.

The name of this quest is the Best Defense quest, and to begin with, you have three lives. Thus, Sonic can take only three hits before you lose the challenge. If you fail to complete the quest in a minute, you lose the challenge.

If you go head-on against the towers, you’ll find that you won’t be able to beat them all in time. There is a trick to solving this time trial, and it involves waiting. You will need to wait for the towers to attack you first and bait them.

Once a tower has approached you, it will attack which you need to avoid. Now it will not be able to attack you for a bit, so you need to scale it and run up to the head to attack it with a stomp jump. Do this for all the towers and you will have completed the Best Defense challenge in no time.
