The Riptide Fusion Rifle is a new Legendary weapon that is available with the Season of the Haunted. Though there are not as many weapons from this event as compared to Season of the Risen, the quality of some of these weapons more than makes up for the difference.
Riptide is a Stasis Fusion Rifle and is favored in Destiny 2. It’s an archetype that has been known to be effective, and players can use them in Crucible, Gambit, and Vanguard activities. Although it isn’t as easy to procure the weapon, the Riptide is one of the best-designed rifles that players can get their hands on.

How to Get Riptide in Destiny 2
Riptide is the only stasis Kinetic fusion rifle that is not tied to any end-game activity.
Players in Destiny 2 can unlock Riptide by playing Crucible matches and collecting engrams from Lord Shaxx in the Tower. Winning increases the chances of obtaining one, as these drops aren’t guaranteed but all players can equip their ghost with the Prosperity Ghost mod to increase their chance of dropping this weapon by dropping an additional Legendary gear after every crucible match. This mod is available to all players right from the beginning of Destiny 2
God Roll of Riptide in Destiny 2
Riptide is available for both PvP and PvE, but only for the Enthusiast Exotic tier. What secondary column perk you use depends on what you want to focus on.
Riptide with Smallbore or Polygonal Rifling for the barrel with projectile fuse will excel in PvP, whereas in the case of PvE you may wanna look for a roll with Fluted Barrel or Corkscrew Rifling with Enhanced Battery. If you want a roll with both PvP and PvE traits then Arrowhead Brake is the one you need with either Accelerated coils or Particle Repeater. Here are the best God Rolls for Riptide so far
- Perpetual Motion/Snapshot Sights – Best in PvP especially for those Guardian who likes to roam around the map
- Field Prep/Vorpal Weapon – Best against PvE bosses
- Lead From Gold, Auto-Loading Holster/Chill Clip – Best for Add clearing
- Auto-Loading Holster/Vorpal Weapon – Best against PvE bosses
- Perpetual Motion/Successful Warm-Up – works for both PvE and PvP
