If you have managed to capture a Tandemaus, then you have a chance to evolve it into a family of three or a family of four Maushold. These Pokémon are all normal types, but the chances of getting a three-family or four-family Maushold are quite tricky. In this guide, we will see how to get both Maushold families in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
How to Get Both Maushold Families in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
There is a rare probability of getting a three-family Maushold, with the four-Maushold family being more common after evolving the Tandemaus. Here we will see how to get both Maushold families in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

If you have managed to catch the Tandemaus, you can evolve it into Maushold by leveling it up to level 25. You also have to make the opponent Pokémon faint while using Tandemaus or having it in your party at level 25 to evolve it.
Usually, you would get the four-family Maushold, but if you are looking to get the three-family Maushold, you can follow this trick. The probability of getting the three-family Pokémon is 1/25, but you don’t need to capture and evolve 25 Tandemaus, although that is ideal. Rather, try to capture 5 Tandemaus, then evolve them altogether. If none of them evolve into a three-family Maushold, then you should try again with the next batch of 5 Tandemaus. Ultimately you will get the Maushold through luck and persistent trying.
Another way to get any of the Maushold families is through Tera Raid battles, but this is quite rare as well. If you have managed to find the 4-Star Maushold tera raid during the post-game, the probability of getting a three-member Maushold is higher.
