The Quarry is a new horror narrative game from 2K and Supermassive Games in which your every choice, large or little, creates your tale and determines who lives and who dies.
The game takes set on the last day of Summer Camp, and the Hackett’s Quarry teenage counsellors decide to host a party to celebrate. Unfortunately for them, things go wrong as blood-soaked locals and something “much more evil” convert a night of partying into a night of terror.
In The Quarry, you will take over the roles of each of the nine camp counsellors, and each character can either become the show’s star – or perish before the sun rises. Here’s how to change the difficulty in The Quarry.

Change Difficulty in The Quarry
The Quarry features a plethora of choices that make the game simpler to play. Instead of the standard “Easy Mode,” users can use the Accessibility settings to reduce the difficulty. These changes should make the game more accessible to more players, which is always a good thing.
The Movie Mode is a good alternative for individuals who wish to enjoy The Quarry’s tale without having to worry about any gaming features. As you may expect, this transforms the game into a movie-like experience.
For passive players, there are three possibilities in Movie mode:
- Everyone Lives
- Everyone Dies
- Director’s Chair
These modes allow players to modify each character’s conduct in various situations—when under pressure, in dialogue, and so on—before letting the scenario unfold.
For players who want something in the middle, The Quarry will also include a variety of different accessibility choices, such as simplified quick time events, to lower the game’s difficulty.
Following are some of the settings which can be changed to lower the difficulty of the game:
- The choice timer
- Simple Quick Time Events
- Quick Time Events Speed
- Button Mash
- Speed interruption
- Aim Assist
The Quarry will be released on June 10 and is currently available for pre-order on Steam. The Quarry Guide has further information about the game and its characters, as well as a demo of its cinematic gameplay.
