The Chemistry system was always a bit complex in the previous FIFA games, but in the latest installment, most of what made the Chemistry feature has been wiped out for something more favorable. You now have more freedom to add any player without repercussion, and has been simplified some more as well. In this guide, we will see how chemistry works in FIFA 23.
How Does Chemistry Work in FIFA 23
In the earlier FIFA games, you could combine chemistry by linking players within a specific formation, but that is done away with and there is now a point-based system instead. Here is how chemistry works in FIFA 23.

FIFA 23’s chemistry will now let starting 11 players from the same league or club boost each other up. Also, chemistry will not be the primary force to boost the team, but rather will fall for Attributes instead. So even if there is low chemistry, it will not affect the formation much. Removing the chemistry lines gives you more freedom, as you no longer need to line up your players according to the same league or club. But assigning players from the same nation to your starting 11 can help you earn better points in the form of stars. The minimum point that you can get is zero, while the maximum star is three.
Various factors affect the chemistry, such as letting your starting 11 players play in their preferred position. Any subsequent players added that match the league or club will increase the chemistry point. This also applies to managers, as they will add a point on their own as well.
