To change the settings, you will have to click on the Options button. This will bring up the Pause Menu. Navigate to Options, then select Game > Difficulty. Press your left or right button on your keyboard or D-Pad to shuffle between Easy mode, Normal mode, Hard mode, and Tatari mode. Click on Save Changes or your triangle button to save.
With the first three modes, you can toggle and check which game difficulty suits you better. But if you choose Tatari mode, you won’t be able to switch if it gets too hard. As such, you won’t get any XP either to upgrade your skill while playing in Tatari, which makes the entire experience much more maddening. Also, you won’t get any achievement for playing the game in only one mode. So you can play in whatever mode you wish, and face enemies of varying difficulty as you navigate the paranormal occurrences surrounding the city.
