Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleased is a goofier take of the iconic 1984 supernatural-comedy movie Ghostbusters and its subsequent remakes. Since it is slated for release sometime this year, we will see what awaits us in the game.
Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed – Gameplay Explained
IllFonic’s upcoming release Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed is set to be out sometime later this year, and we are excited to see what the gameplay holds in store. Let’s take a look at the mechanics of the game and explore a bit more about the Ghostbuster’s world.
Ghostbusters is going to take on a 4v1 asymmetrical gameplay, and you and your friends can take on the role as typical Ghostbusters. Your aim would be hunt down one ghost who is terrorizing the neighborhood, and your tools would be the PKE meter, Ghost Traps, and Proton Packs. All you have to do is find this spooky being, track it down and suck it into your pack. Though this may seem like a simple task, it is not. This vengeful presence has some tricks up its sleeves that will make even the most skilled Ghostbuster second guess their approach.
There are many structures you can use once you get to play the game, but so far we only know of the Firehouse. You can use the Firehouse to change your appearance, change equipment, and upgrade your abilities. The demo version had the Museum map unlocked to explore, but apparently that is just a small portion of what to expect from the game. You will also be faced with different quests to complete and NPCs to talk to.
If you are tired of being the good guy, you also have an option to play as a ghost. Use your spectral powers to evade the Ghostbusters and terrorize citizens.
If you enjoy an asymmetrical supernatural multiplayer with goofy graphics and a time limit, then grab this game when you can on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
