Tighnari is another upcoming Sumeru character recently confirmed by Genshin Impact. He’s supposed to be the first 5-star Dendro bow user and players are already saving up for him. His design is unique in that it has a floral theme and his color palette has similarities to Xiao’s- though Tighnari flaunts another additional shade of green with a few other accent colors. His race is non-human as he’s got long jackal-like ears.
Tighnari’s Kit in Genshin Impact
Tighnari’s kit strongly positions him as an on-field main-DPS with his basic attacks having a charge feature similar to Ganyu’s. His damage scaling is yet to be confirmed but as per leakers, it’s moderate. His elemental skill has an AoE Dendro damage effect- one which also puts enemies within it in a state of “chaos” or confusion and subsequently reduces the charge time for his Level 2 charged attack. As a bow unit, he might be difficult to use for mobile players but fans hope for him to have versatility in his elemental skill and burst for him to be viable as support too.
Players can look forward to flowery gameplay with this character. His elemental burst has a homing and multiplying function so players will have to wait for his gameplay leaks to see how this works. With enough scaling, this will be an amazing burst that can deal with multiple enemies and deal tons of damage in the process.
As for his constellations, Tighnari’s C4 seems to have a support functionality so players can expect to deploy his burst and switch to other characters to cause Dendro elemental reactions. The elemental mastery buff also hints at how he might be compatible with the recent Electro units. His constellations overall seem focused on increasing his DPS. As for his ascension passives, it seems he benefits from Elemental Mastery and thus players can look forward to farming EM artifacts beforehand. With enough EM, he might just be a very strong Dendro DPS or sub-DPS depending on how players want to use him.
As the first 5-star Dendro unit players have high expectations of him already and are already eager to pull for him. Dendro reactions will be a major deciding factor as to how effective Tighnari is as a DPS so initially, we can expect a learning curve to exploring his kit and maximizing his damage output.
