Genshin Impact leakers are at it again- coming at us with the designs of 7 new upcoming Sumeru characters of which 3 also have their kit revealed. While none of their release is confirmed, except the 3 who already have their kits, and we can’t make speculations about their release dates– these characters are sure to be seen in the next upcoming region of Sumeru which is the domain of the Dendro Archon. Though the leakers are all trustworthy about their information, these are still in development and we can be sure that these aren’t their final designs or kits. So with a grain of salt we proceed.
The 7 Leaked Sumeru Characters for Genshin Impact
With the Sumeru region development in full throttle, we can expect to see at least the above seven characters in the upcoming Sumeru update story quests. Slowly but surely we can expect these characters to all be made available as playable characters with further future updates. As of now we only know their models and some of their kits. For this list, we’ll proceed from the leftmost character to right.
Tighnari
Tighnari seems to be a 5-star Dendro bow user. His Dendro kit suggests he’s a crowd-control dps unit who likes to stay on the field. Having him in your party would also make it easier to collect resources unique to Sumeru as he displays their location on the map similar to Yanfei or Qiqi.
Collei
Collei is an upcoming 4-star character with a kit similar to Amber’s in many ways. She has her own companion as shown in the leaked splashart. Her kit is only curious in the way her normal attacks are said to be a “Boomerang” and thus have a return effect which would be a new combat mechanic in the game at least for bow users. Sources also claim that her character originated in the official Genshin Impact manga where she ends up in Sumeru at the end of her character arc.
Dehya
While there are no individual leaks about her character model, it’s speculated that the character left of Al Haitham is Dehya. All the leakers know about this character is that she’s a tanned, cat-eared, claymore-wielding Pyro user. Based on that description, the model left of Al Haitham fits the bill. Her model gives similar vibes as Xinyan.
Al-Haitham
Al-Haitham is rumoured to be a 5-star Dendro user with his character model resembling “Su” from Honkai Impact 3rd. His old designs have him with a longer right earpiece and a more chartreuse shade of green gem on his chest. Nevertheless, the various angles exploring his model above show him to be a tall attractive male and even a Dendro vision sigil on the sleeve of his left arm.
Nilou
Nilou too has no individual model leak. Her leaks reveal her to be a red-haired short female model like that of Ayaka or Keqing. She flaunts horns similar in shape to that of Azdaha but different in colour. She’s also apparently a dancer who uses Hydro vision and part of her kit has healing abilities though it’s claimed she mainly relies on her Hydro reacting with Dendro. The character right of Al-Haitham fits her model description.
Dori
Dori is a 4-star electro claymore user who uses a chibi model. This will be the second chibi model claymore-wielding character after Sayu who’s an Anemo claymore user and was released in Inazuma. Her kit leaks her healing and energy recharge abilities and suggests her to likely be an off-field support or dps character. Her companion “Spirit of the Lamp” is also featured in her splashart.
Kusanali
Kusanali is rumored to be the Dendro Archon and the one who watches over the region of Sumeru. As of right now we only have a prototype model leaked for her character and this alone has sparked outrage in some Genshin communities. Many fans are not happy with a pale white-skinned character ruling over Sumeru which is a region and culture supposedly inspired by Asian countries.
Of course, these leaks are to be taken with a grain of salt and these designs and kits are still under development and expected to change upon their final release. That said we can expect their basic models and kits to look the same and players can choose and decide who to save their primogems for.
