Fortnite has its fair share of bugs, and one of the recent bugs to surface is the Mighty Monument flying away after players hit it. The enormous landmark statue, aptly called the Mighty Monument, is an iconic figure reaching up towards the sky, and players could bring it down with a simple bonk from a tire. That was until the recent update fixed it.
Epic Games immediately released a patch update to fix the issue, so players would not get to see the gigantic statue lying on its side or flying around.
Even though Epic Games was quick to deliver the fix, fans were a bit disappointed, since they could not utilize the bug to make funny clips to share around.
Some players even reported that hitting any rock with a tire would make it fly away.
It was a blessing in disguise that Epic Games was quick to respond since if this bug continued, it was sure to hamper Fortnite’s gameplay and cause massive lag if players tried to recreate the glitch. There were also issues with frame rate drops during this time, which were partially implemented because of said bug. The game developers acted fast as soon as it was noticed, and have stopped the Mighty Monument from flailing around while players messed with it.
Some players were astonished that Epic Games acted rather quickly, but it was something that required urgent care. Simultaneously, they have also fixed the issue with the in-match quest’s progress not saving and players not being able to get Haven’s Feathers in Fortnite.
