YouTube videos get stuck in Processing HD Version at times. Sometimes, the video is ready to be watched at 1080p or higher resolutions, but the Processing status remains in the Creator Studio. This bug is encountered chiefly while uploading at UHD (3,840 x 2,160) or 4K (4,096 x 2,160) resolutions.
The bug has no official fix. Also, YouTube has not acknowledged it. Thus, there is no official YouTube support information on it. This leaves users wondering how to fix this problem and make their videos available to the public at full quality.
We have found some fixes that can help users potentially fix videos stuck on Processing HD. I will list them in this article. We hope these fixes help you fix the issue.
How to fix YouTube videos stuck on Processing HD?
Follow the fixes listed below to solve the issue in which YouTube videos are stuck while processing HD.
Fix 1. Try using the Send Feedback feature in Creator Studio. List the video(s) in your report, select the thumbnail, title, and Processing HD status and send the feedback asking YouTube to resolve the issue.
Most of the time, YouTube will fix the issue within 48 hours and your video will be available to watch at full quality. YouTube will, however, not give any details on the issue.
Fix 2. Edit the video using YouTube Creator studio’s Editor feature. If your video has no parts that can be trimmed, place a blur on a frame that cannot be noticed by the viewers. Then, save the changes.
This will restart the processing from the beginning which can hopefully resolve your issue.
Fix 3. Clear browsing data. To do this, head over to the Settings panel of your browse. Now, under Privacy and Security, locate Clear Browsing Data.
Head over to Advanced and clear Browsing History, Download History, Cached Images and files, Cookies and other site data. After this, head over to Creator Studio and check whether the issue gets resolved.
Fix 4. Reupload the video. If all of the fixes listed above fail, try reuploading the video.
We hope these fixes helped you resolve the issue.
