Skyrim Anniversary Edition Black Screen crashing issue is troubling the players since its release. This problem is occurring especially with the modes and some of those modes are vital to have a satisfactory gameplay experience. Recently players are continuously complaining about the Skyrim Anniversary Edition black screens and crash particularly while trying to boot up a modded save in Skyrim Anniversary Edition.
Players are facing this problem all over the world. If this is the problem with you as well, don’t worry you are not the only one to face this problem. Players have tried a lot of different methods to solve these issues. They have tried switching to Fullscreen borderless mode, running it as an administrator with Windows 7 compatibility on, etc. but nothing solved their problem.
Now, you might think that these are compatibility issues but no, they are not at all compatibility issues. It is the result of the extra optimization the game has received following the update. Whether you bought the Anniversary Edition or not, your version will be automatically updated to the latest version built with a new compiler, Visual Studio 2019 rather than Visual Studio 2015.
Russell, the author of Lucien has explained that it is caused because the script is running faster than it used to. He further says that Inigo’s esp was detected whenever someone logged in the game and the game tried to grab his reference to put into the alias. But because of its high speed, Inigo’s reference hadn’t had time to load. Therefore, the script was attempting to fill the alias with a NULL, causing a crash and a black screen.
Russell had updated the mod that adds a little delay to the script and it solved the problem for now. But if you are still facing the problem, it might be caused because of other heavily scripted mods. Disable them and, your game will run without any problem.
