With the release of Dying Light 2, players have been busy exploring the game which has a range of new weapons for them to try. These weapons are given to them through missions and quests, and players who want to use new weapons must complete them to use the items. While the game has a lot of melee combat due to the interaction with zombies in close contact, there comes a time when a player needs to use ranged weapons. You can unlock a bow, but it needs a little effort as it needs to be unlocked by playing one of the main story missions which need to be focused on. This guide will take you through how to obtain the Bow.
Unlock the Bow in Dying Light 2
After a fair bit of gameplay (read: several hours) you will come across a main story mission called Let’s Waltz. Up until you get this mission in your logbook you will have to deal with your enemies using only melee weapons, which is about 4-5 missions with items like your trusty old baseball bat. This is an important part of the game as by completing this mission you will be able to unlock and use ranged weapons for a variety of purposes.

As part of this quest, you will have to follow the instructions given to you on the left top part of your screen. The first objective is to get to the Dynamo Car Factory.
Once you finish the objective of Follow the Sniper, you will have completed the Let’s Waltz quest and will receive your blueprint for the Bow and Arrows.
Completing this mission will grant you the first bow in the game and you can start engaging in long-range combat henceforth.
The Pipe Bow might not look or sound glamorous but it’s definitely a step up from the hammers and cleavers, and will help you sharpen your bow skills until you get the next best ranged weapon.
