Genshin Impact Sumeru is just around the corner and is scheduled for release in Version 3.0. With the addition of the Dendro element to the game, we’ll finally have Dendro characters, Dendro elemental reactions, more Dendro enemies, and even a Dendro resonance feature in our party compilation. Recent leaks have given us an idea as to what the Dendro resonance might look like and additionally it has also leaked changes to the already existing Hydro resonance.
Resonance Changes in 3.0 Genshin Impact
Elemental resonance is when two characters of the same element are present in our party and this gives us bonus buffs and resistances for the whole party. Below are the changes in resonance expected to be in effect from Version 3.0.
Hydro Resonance
Hydro resonance used to be a 40% resistance to the Pyro element and a 30% increase in incoming healing. In 3.0, Hydro resonance is expected to increase the maximum hp of all party members by 25% instead of a 30% increase in incoming healing. The 40% Pyro resistance remains unchanged.
This changes many things. Since most hydro units have a healing function- mostly scaling off of hp, this will still be an increase in incoming healing. Additionally, shield units like Diona or Zhongli or even attack units like Yelan will now get a massive buff by being in a team with Hydro resonance. This will make their shields stronger and Yelan, being a hydro character herself will automatically also get an increase in her damage.
Dendro Resonance
We finally know what Dendro resonance might look like. According to leakers:
- The first effect of Dendro resonance will be an increase in the elemental mastery of all party members by a flat 50 units.
- The second effect is that when party members trigger Burning, Catalyse or Bloom, the other party members get a 30 unit increase in EM for 6 seconds.
- The third effect is that when party members trigger triple elemental reactions like Burgeon, Aggravate, Hyperbloom or Spread, all other nearby party members get a 20 unit increase in EM for 6 seconds.
It’s enough to surmise by now that Sumeru and Dendro will be inherently relying on elemental reactions and thus elemental mastery. Players will have to wait and see how Dendro functions in the game to enjoy it to the fullest. Thankfully we’re likely getting two Dendro units for free in 3.0 Sumeru so players don’t have to wait long to test out the Dendro resonance.
