Dendro elemental reactions have undergone some naming changes in addition to revealing what triple reactions are like and how they function in the recent Sumeru Beta. Leakers say some of the basic Dendro reactions have had their names changed and we finally get to know what the “UNKNOWN” element was in each of the triple reactions.
Latest Dendro Reactions Leaks in Genshin Impact
The two Dendro reactions that have undergone naming changes are as follows:
- Overgrown (Dendro + Hydro) has been renamed to Bloom
- Intensify (Dendro + Electro) has been renamed to Quicken which earlier used to be the name of a triple elemental reaction with Dendro.
Triple Dendro Reactions
Dendro is a special element in the sense that it does not get removed after reacting with another element. As such when an enemy has two element statuses affecting them, one can add another element to the mix to cause a triple elemental reaction. This opens up a whole new can of worms for the Genshin Impact’s elemental gameplay and will perhaps completely change the way we experience elemental reactions in the game.
It must be noted here that a triple elemental reaction doesn’t necessarily mean an elemental reaction involving 3 different elements but more in the sense that there’s a triple application of elements where one element can be applied twice. As we’ll see below, some of the leaked elemental reactions have a double application of the same element. This also explains why elemental mastery will play such a big role in the Sumeru update.
Below are the leaked triple elemental reactions and a chart to show how they might function and interact with all the other elements in the game:
- Quicken (Dendro + Electro) + Electro will cause Aggravate.
- Quicken (Dendro + Electro) + Dendro again will cause Spread.
- Bloom (Dendro + Hydro) + Pyro will cause Burgeon.
- Bloom (Dendro + Hydro) + Electro will cause Hyperbloom
These are of course still subject to change but from the looks of it, Genshin’s elemental gameplay is about to get a whole lot more nuanced and perhaps even balanced with the upcoming Sumeru update in 3.0. With Dendro enabling triple elemental reactions, we might finally see a whole new meta and way of playing the game. Of course, things are also expected to get a little complicated and messy at first- but this will obviously be an interesting and thrilling experience for all.
