Flashlight or Pro Flashlight
The Flashlight is the cheaper version of the Pro Flashlight, but it is less effective than the latter. The Flashlight will cost just 15 credits, while the Pro Flashlight will cost 25 credits. The Flashlight will last just 140 seconds before it needs a recharge, while the Pro Flashlight lasts 5 minutes. The only downside to the pro flashlight is that it weighs 5 LB, which is heavier than the flashlight. The flashlight is best during early gameplay when you need to gather credits, but later on it is best to switch to the pro flashlight.
Zap Gun
If you have the credits, then it is best to invest in the Zap Gun. It can come in handy while visiting the tougher moons, but it will cost 400 credits to purchase. The only downside to the Zap Gun is that it can get somewhat difficult to manage while zapping multiple enemies, and there is also a risk of zapping your teammates if they get too close.
Shovel
Another weapon that you need, and is cheaper to purchase than the zap gun. The shovel costs 30 credits to purchase and doesn’t need recharging like the zap gun. Sometimes it can be ineffective against tougher monsters you encounter, but if everyone on the team owns a shovel then they can make quick work of that creature.
Stun Grenade
This offensive weapon can help you get out of sticky situations quickly. While it may not damage the enemy, it can disorient them enough for you to get away. The only drawback to the stun grenade is that it takes 5 seconds for it to detonate, and only stuns the target for a few seconds. It will cost 40 credits to purchase it from the store, and is quite weighty at 4 Lbs.
Boombox
Another utility item you can use as a distraction, the Boombox can distract nearby enemies and they will make a beeline for it. If you are planning on infiltrating a particular area but it is infested with creatures, then place a boombox nearby and hide. They will usually come for the noise, giving you a clear path to your destination. The boombox runs on battery and will last almost 6 minutes, and most monsters are drawn to the sound for an infinite amount of time. The boombox costs 60 credits and weighs 16 lb
