Baldur’s Gate 3 – How To Get Protection From The Shadow Curse
The Shadow-Cursed Lands should not be ventured lightly, as you will face dire consequences if you do not have protection. Here we will see how to protect ourselves from the shadow curse in Baldur’s Gate 3.
The only way to fight darkness is with light. Luckily, as you visit the initial area of The Shadow-Cursed Lands, you will meet some Harpers. Help them fight against the undead to access the Last Light Inn. Once you enter the Inn, you will meet Isobel. She is the only one who knows how to cast a protection spell from the Shadow Curse. After your interaction, more enemies will invade the inn. Protect Isobel at all costs and defeat the Absolute enemies. At the end of your fight, if Isobel is still alive, you will be granted the Selune Blessing. This will help you navigate through the Shadow-Cursed Lands safely.
Besides that, you can also use torches and Moonlanterns. Torches are only effective in the initial stages, otherwise they won’t work. You can get Moon lanterns from Kar’niss the Drider, who you will meet on your journey, and likewise in Balthezar’s Room in Moonrise Towers. If you are lucky enough to encounter a Pixie, you can also seek Pixie’s Blessings to overcome the Shadow Curse.
