Average Player Count
Within the first few days of release, Overwatch 2 was played by over 10 million people. That’s across all platforms: Windows PC, Microsoft Xbox, Sony Playstation, and Nintendo Switch.
Overwatch 2’s estimated average daily player count is around 900,000 and 1 million – with some sources stating that it can reach up to 5 million players during peak times. Even so, the active players in the most recent hour still amounted to an impressive 153,982; with Overwatch 2 being cross-platform and free-to-play, this could result in an incredible monthly average by November.
The game’s tremendous viewership as an eSport and casual entertainment product made nearly 5 million Twitch stream watchers in just the first three days, and this should also be considered. This should not come as a surprise to anyone since the game is entertaining to watch and play.
