What does MIT mean?
MIT is short for the word mitigate. It refers to the amount of damage you take throughout a game. MIT provides a clear understanding of how much you helped your team during matches. It allows people to see just how helpful or unhelpful they were and whether or not their actions mattered in the game.
There has been only one notable change; ‘Damage Blocked’ is no longer limited to just Shields. In fact, with MIT, any kind of ability that can reduce damage will be accounted for under the MIT stat.
Since the game is still in Open Beta, certain abilities might block some damage from other players, but the amount of blocked damage won’t be tallied toward the player’s MIT rating. It’ll take time before every ability blocks damage and contributes to a player’s overall MIT score.
This mechanic has been added to make gameplay more tactical and team-based; now, each player has different roles during matches, so this stat can show whether or not they’re performing their role well.
While it is a good indication of how much you are helping your team, MIT is not something that should be relied on solely. There are many ways to measure success in a game, and while this stat can shed some light on one aspect, it doesn’t mean anything if your team isn’t working together towards the same goal.
