On September 27, AMD will launch its next-gen Ryzen 7000 series of processors. This lineup promises increased efficiency and performance metrics when compared to the Alder Lake lineup and last-gen Ryzen 7000 CPUs. Currently, AMD has four CPUs in their upcoming Zen 4-based series. These offerings range from performance-focused mid-range CPUs to high-end flagship offerings with up to 16 cores.
Alongside the CPUs, AMD will also launch the high-end X670 and X670E motherboards on September 27. Several third-party partners have showcased their X670 and X670E motherboard designs. All of them feature significant price hikes over last-gen.
All upcoming Zen 4-based Ryzen 7000 processors
Ryzen 5 7600X
The Ryzen 5 7600X is a six-core twelve-threaded performance-focused entry from AMD. It has a power limit of 105W. This processor has been priced at $299, the same as the last-gen Ryzen 5 5600X.
AMD showcased spectacular single-core performance metrics with this processor. In the event named “together we advance_PCs”, CEO Lisa Su showed that the 7600X beats the Alder Lake flagship, the 12900K in terms of gaming performance.
Ryzen 7 7700X
The Ryzen 7 7700X is an eight-core offering in the Ryzen 7000 lineup. This processor is priced at $399 and it packs a total cache of 40MB.
The Ryzen 7700X also surpasses the Core i9 12900K in terms of gaming performance.
Ryzen 9 7900X
The 7900X is a twelve-core offering from the company. It is a high-end chip that will steal the performance crown from Intel both in terms of single-core and multi-core performance metrics. However, this processor will cost users a massive $549.
Ryzen 9 7950X
The 7950X is a sixteen-core, 32-threaded offering from AMD. At launch, this Ryzen 9 will be the best offering from Team Red.
The sixteen-core chip is priced at $699. This makes it $50 cheaper than the Ryzen 9 5950X at launch.
