DNF Duel follows similar fighting mechanics to its parent game, and there are many recurring characters as well. Here we will take a look at all the playable game modes in DNF Duel.
Ahead of its release, Arc System Works and Nexon have released a series of videos about the gameplay mechanics, and included are the various modes you can play DNF Duel in. You can now select any of the 16 characters in the game and use them to fight in your preferred mode. There are three modes that you can select in the game, and each of them have different playstyles to suit your needs.
The three playable modes are Online Mode, Local Mode, and Practice Mode. Under them, there are more sub-modes that branch out the gameplay experience even further. Online Mode is mainly for players who prefer to play ranked games, as they will be paired with other players and fight them to win. There is Ranked Match, Player Match, and Ranking available under Online Mode. Local Mode, on the other hand, is more pertaining to campaign mode, and has Story, Free Battle, Arcade, and Survival Mode. Local Mode is great for players who want to immerse themselves in the gameplay. And finally, there is Practice Mode. As the name suggests, you can train with your fighter and learn the moves, as well as complete the tutorial here if you are a new player.
