To unlock the Athenaeum, you need to find and defeat Henry Blackbrew the Doctor. This is a level 74 boss who can be found in the Trancendum Laboratories in northern Gloomrot. After his defeat, you will unlock the blueprint to craft the Athenaeum. To craft the Athenaeum, you will require the following materials.
- 40x Scroll
- 12x Scourgestone
- 8x Reinforced Plank
You can get most of these items via crafting in your castle. You can craft scrolls in the printing press and the scourgestone in the furnace. You can also craft Reinforced Planks in the sawmill. After you gather all the items, you can create the Athenaeum via the build mode in the game. If you use 100x Schematics while crafting in the Athenaeum, you can unlock a random blueprint. You can get the blueprint to craft either an armor or weapon type or even some potions, amulets, and furniture.
