Grid Assault Operation is among the most difficult missions available in MW4 DMZ, since you have to navigate through various buildings to collect codes while taking on deadly foes. The process may be confusing in terms of finding the right paths, particularly where there is a requirement for movement across multiple floors. There will be an encounter with Lieutenant Rose and two Death Stalkers en route to the final destination. In this guide, we’ll show you how to complete the Grid Assault mission and upload the code to finish the operation.
How to Complete the Grid Assault Mission
Grid Assault is one of the most threatening missions in the MW4 DMZ game, where you need to go through multiple buildings to get some codes which will later be uploaded to the tower. Make sure that you have good weapons, silenced weapons, self-revive kits, and enough medical items.
How to Find the First Code Segment
After spawning, go to the elevator shaft and get to the first building using the elevator. The first thing you will need to do is locate the laptop that controls the drones. After that, you will have to locate the first code segment in another building. Go to the marked spot and look for the stairwell which takes you up to floors 14 and 15. Once you reach those floors, look for the room with the computer servers.
The important thing to be aware of is the fact that there will be many enemies equipped with riot shields. Semtex grenades will come in handy because you will be able to stick the grenades to the shields to cause some damage.
There are also some really powerful automatic guns in the server room, which cause considerable damage. Seek cover behind the server racks and start shooting at them when you find an opportunity. With the use of flash/stun grenades, you will also be able to approach them and start attacking them. Be careful about some other guns located near the corner and on the floor below. Once the entire area has been cleared, search for the first code piece on the floor and collect it.
How to Find the Second Code Segment
With the first code fragment acquired, proceed to the other building to grab the second one. For that purpose, use the staircases, elevators, and zipline to get to the right floor. Once the right elevator shaft is found, move further and go up using the zipline on the stairway you come across.
Once in the DBN headquarters, Lieutenant Rose will be encountered there. The character is a deadly opponent who can kill with one bullet; therefore, it is better not to run straight into battle with her. Hide behind cover, and while your partner engages her in battle, take her out from a safe place. Also, use thermite grenades to cause damage.
Once defeated, grab the Kraken sniper rifle, which falls on the ground after her death, as well as the second code fragment. The rifle will be very helpful in completing the next stage of the task. The sniper is particularly useful for the next part of the mission, so make sure you pick it up.
How to Upload the Code and Destroy the Death Stalkers
After collecting the two sets of codes, descend the zip line once again and make your way back towards the computer, where you will need to input the codes and broadcast them to the tower. Once you have interacted with the computer, begin broadcasting the codes. This will put the tower on lockdown, where you will need to defend yourself against enemy forces until the upload is complete.
Position yourself carefully and make sure that your environment is clean. Once the broadcast is completed, two Death Stalkers will emerge from the outside. Here, the Kraken sniper will be of great assistance to you. Use the Kraken sniper to attack the Death Stalkers at a distance, and you should easily kill them.
How to Reach the Top of the Tower
After defeating the Death Stalkers, proceed to the tower for the last mission objective. You must scale the tower with a few jumps and climbing sections, so feel free to go slow if you are unfamiliar with the parkour.
Begin by jumping on the generator, then onto the part with the toolbox. The red and green tapes will indicate where you can climb from the platform to the next platform. Continue jumping on the platforms until you have reached the top of the tower.
There is one part that can be tricky since you have to go to the other side of the tower. In case you get stuck on a certain part, you can always move to the other side of the tower and find another place to jump from. Once you are at the top, use the terminal to upload the code and complete the Operation Grid Assault mission in DMZ.
