Exotics are the key to completing a build in Destiny 2. These exotic gears have inbuilt buffs and can make your game much easier. Some add more abilities, some increases your firepower and damage output, some merely provide better agility and advanced movement techniques, and the list goes on.
Unlike legendries, exotics don’t get sunset and will probably never be. So exotics that were introduced ages ago back during the red war are still present in the game, and only the way of acquiring them got changed as the contents were vaulted in the Destiny content vault. So choosing between all these exotics may give you a hard time especially because you can only equip one exotic at a time.
Here are the Top three exotics for each subclass
Top Three Exotic Armors for All Subclasses in Destiny 2
This ranking is based on the average ratings provided by players, which means there is no right answer to this question, you can equip what you like and are comfortable with. But these are some of the Exotics that stood out according to me and most players. Some of these exotics have been around for a really long time, but became meta all of a sudden due to the void 3.0/Solar 3.0. If you want to make builds of these exotics for higher difficulty content such as Grandmaster Nightfall, check this link.
For Warlocks, I have made the best solar 3.0 build, you can check the guide using this link Best solar 3.0 warlock build In Destiny 2
Warlocks
Starfire Protocol
Now hear me out, if you haven’t kept up with the meta since solar 3.0, then you must be surprised to see this exotic rank in the top 3. With the arrival of solar 3.0, there is a certain build that revolves around this armor that uses empowering rifts to gain grenade energy, this build is more for people who don’t wanna run around the map dodging bullets, and instead stand still in a rift and shoot from a distance. Works great in higher difficulty activities like the Grandmaster Nightfalls
Verity’s Brow
The Verity’s Brow has always been there, you can see other guardians using this exotic no matter what class they play on as it is suitable on all 4(solar, arc, void, and stasis). This exotic provides death throes when you defeat players with the same element as their subclass, with five stacks, you will gain additional grenade damage and you and your allies gain grenade energy every time you throw a grenade.
Dawn Chorus
Now for my personal favourite, Dawn Chorus when introduced was underwhelming, to say the least as it buffs scorch damage, but there weren’t many sources for it and so it was lying in the vault gathering dust until solar 3.0 dropped, and with the new incandescent perk, the exotic is pretty much-considered meta. Now we can apply scorch to the target using these new weapons and the exotic will bump up the damage to 3x
Hunters
Stomp-EE5
Now you would be thinking, wait, but those were nerfed to the ground according to some hunters would say. But trust me on this when I tell you that even after the nerf the exotic hasn’t lowered its usage rate and still shines in PvP. When it comes to movement, no other exotics come close as we all know that hunters are all about high mobility
Wormhusk Crown
This is more of a PvP exotic than PvE. This exotic refills your health bar every time you use the dodge. This is very crucial in a PvP firefight, as even if you are losing a fight, you can turn things around by getting your health refilled instantly. For PvE, you can use this exotic for casual content or rather keep it away from PvE.
Omnioculus
Unlike the other exotics on this list, this exotic shines most in PvE. This exotic gives you an additional smoke bomb and provides damage resistance to you and your allies, and at the same time will recharge your melee ability. The con is that you will be limited to a void build while using this exotic as only the Nightstalker subclass have invisibility
Titans
Loreley Splendor Helmet
Titans use to have some insane builds using sunspots which make them an invulnerable tank in PvE, and now with solar 3.0, sunspots are relevant once again. This exotic lets your sunspots heal you, sunspots are created when critically wounded and your class ability is full and also whenever you create a barrier which in layman terms means, you will be unkillable. Also when it comes to PvP, this exotic is still just as good, but yes you won’t be the same invulnerable tank anymore
Dunemarchers
This exotic provides you better agility, which means increased sprint speed and also sprinting build up a charge and after using your melee, the charge will chain damage to all the nearby enemies in a certain radius. This exotic comes in handy while dispatching hordes of adds with a single punch, it’s similar to trinity ghoul but it’s your arm. In PvP the exotic works disgustingly well, killing enemies behind cover to collateral kills. This exotic is top class no matter what activity you bring it in.
Synthoceps
Now for this exotic, it’s hard for me to praise it considering all the times I got one shotted ridiculously by a titan, But all biases aside, If you think Dunemarchers is disgusting, this ranks 10 on the disgusting scale. This exotic gives increased melee lunge distance, and if you wanna have a fist fight with a titan, just don’t. Especially if there are multiple guardians around, the titan will get a 50% damage buff which will pretty much one-shot you.
These are the top three Exotic armors for all subclasses in Destiny 2, Go on and try them out.
