Showtime’s Your Honor will draw to a close after season 2, confirms lead star, Bryan Cranston.
Cranston, who plays the role of a judge on the limited series, went on Dax Shepherd’s Armchair Expert podcast to further his claims. Season 1 of Your Honor ended in February 2021, and Season 2’s production started in August of the same year. But it is now confirmed by Cranston himself to be the last season and will draw the curtains on the series.
“I am [currently] preparing for the second and last season of Your Honor, which is a limited series that I did for Showtime. As they tell me, it got higher ratings than any other series they’ve ever had — and so, one more season of that.”
Your Honor follows the storyline of Adam (Hunter Doohan) who is involved in a hit-and-run case involving the Mafia. His father Michael (Bryan Cranston) tries to cover up the crime as an acting judge to protect his son. While the show was billed as a limited series, its success soon evolved into the production of season 2. The show has a strong cast, with actors like Michael Stuhlbarg (Call Me By Your Name), Carmen Ejogo (Selma), Hope Davis (Love Life), and Sofia Black-D’Elia (Single Drunk Female), and Isiah Whitlock Jr. (The Wire).
Cranston is famously known for portraying Walter White in the hit series Breaking Bad, as well as appearing in The Cleveland Show and Malcolm in the Middle. Your Honor is his latest endeavor for television series.
