Ubisoft has chosen to shut down online access for multiple older games starting this September 1. The company said in a blog post that they are doing this to focus their resources on “newer and more popular games.” The company is also discontinuing installation and access to downloadable content (DLC) for these games. This move has drawn a lot of backlashes. The company is yet to give a proper justification for this serious decision.
The list of games is long and is mostly composed of titles that are a little over a decade old. The full list is given below.

It is important for developers to continuously shed off titles on their supported list to be able to work on future titles effectively. However, discontinuing DLC support is a bit surprising.
