Venti- the Anemo Archon is called the weakest of the Archons and yet he’s still one of the two units in the game that literally make the game easy mode due to his broken crowd control ability. Anemo is the element of crowd control and damage support and it synergises easily with most teams due to its flexibility. It’s been a running meme in the community that every update indirectly buffs the Anemo element. In this article, we’re going to list the best 5 Anemo units in the game.
Best 5 Anemo Units in Genshin Impact
Anemo units are known for their ability to group mob enemies together thus letting you focus on a group of enemies in a small area instead of them being spread out over a large area and attacking you from all sides. Anemo’s ability to Swirl other elements also gives it a great utility for elemental reactions and infusions which boosts the overall damage of your team. Here are the best Anemo characters in the game.
Kaedehara Kazuha
Ever since Kazuha came out and people understood his true value, he’s been part of the Genshin meta with no equal to challenge him. He’s been said to be a mix of the two best Anemo units prior to his release- Venti and Sucrose. But of course, he’s more than that and here’s what we love about this wandering poet:
- His mid-air jump is a fun and actually useful exploration gimmick.
- He buffs his teammates with bonus elemental damage based on his EM.
- His E skill’s crowd control utility brings surrounding enemies closer to him thus allowing you to switch to melee and begin attacking and spamming skills immediately.
- His burst has a long duration and gives consistent Swirls.
Venti
Venti is still the strongest Anemo unit- no questions asked since he’s the Anemo Archon after all. When it comes to crowd control- he’s the best at it. Every time a new region is released Venti has to be nerfed so that it doesn’t feel too easy for the players- eventually, however, in future updates, Venti is brought back to his original strength and everything becomes easy again. Here’s what we love about this alcoholic, drunk bard:
- His E skill provides useful exploration utility while also doing tons of damage.
- His burst has a huge AoE so it sucks enemies from even long distances.
- His burst is powerful enough to kill most mobs trapped in it.
- He’s easy to build.
- He also serves as an Anemo battery for your team.
Jean
Jean is a standard banner 5-star unit and thus looked down upon as weak but those who’ve used her know her true value. She fills multiple roles really well and she is fun to use. She can serve as the healer, Anemo Swirl support, Anemo sub-dps or even main on-field dps dealing Physical DMG. Here’s what we love about her kit:
- Her burst can bring your entire party back to almost full healthy from the brink of death.
- She has decent normal attack multipliers to serve as a Physical DMG DPS.
- Her E skill is powerful and fun to use.
- Her charged attack can even knock down larger enemies (Elites).
- Her normal attacks also heal occasionally which comes handy in a clutch.
- She’s a flexible unit with versatile build options.
Sucrose
Sucrose is one of the best 4-star supports and the only one who could fill Venti’s role during his absence back in the day- to an extent at least. Though she may be shy, she’s a powerful support and this is what we love about her kit:
- She buffs the entire team with bonus EM- except herself.
- Her E skill has double casting and has good crowd control abilities.
- Her burst also has powerful crowd control utility- second only to Venti’s.
- Her EM buffs boost the overall damage of your team and elemental reactions exponentially.
Shikanoin Heizou
Heizou is the latest Anemo unit released only last update. He’s a 4-star Anemo dps and he’s one of the best due to his element being that of Anemo. Though he isn’t great for supporting his teammates or even crowd control, he’s one of the strongest 4-star dps units due to his high-scaling multipliers. Here are his best features:
- His E skill does nuke damage (at least among the 4-stars) even outscaling the likes of Beidou’s full counter.
- He’s easy to use and simple to build.
- Since he’s of the Anemo element, he can also cause Swirls after other teammates switch out.
- He has a complete kit right off the bat so his constellations aren’t necessary.
Anemo units are high value in the game due to their unique support viability and flexible team synergies. If you have any of the above units and feel that they’ll synergise well with your current teams- we wholeheartedly encourage you to build them. They are a great investment and their crowd control utility itself is very fun to use.
