Supermassive Games’ latest interactive drama horror video game The Quarry is being released by 2K Games. It is the spiritual sequel to Until Dawn (2015) and will be available on Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X and Series S.
The player controls one of nine distinct teens who must survive a night at Hackett’s Quarry. The player must make decisions that affect the character development, storyline, and interactions between different characters. All nine playable characters may have died before the end of the game, and each character has 10-12 various ways to die.
Soon after the opening titles, the Quarry Defiant and Compliant options are made. Players take control of Laura shortly after she is involved in a vehicle accident. When speaking with Max, she has the option of being Defiant, stating “Are you my boss?” or Compliant, saying “Hurry up!”
One will provide a more favourable outcome than the other. Here’s all you need to know about The Quarry Defiant or Compliant conversation choice and which one players should select.

Laura Choice Guide- Defiant or Complaint
There are two options to speak:
- As a Defiant: Are you my boss?
- As a Compliant: Hurry up!
When talking to Max alongside the car in The Quarry’s Prologue, Compliant is the best option.
Despite the fact that the Defiant choice has the same result, shouting “Are you my boss?” at Laura’s boyfriend Max. This causes him to become “frustrated.” This and other difficulties in their relationship, together with other tensions in their relationship, may have disastrous consequences in the near future.
Compliant is the best option for players who want to play it safe while ensuring that as many characters are possible to live. Of course, there are several ways to play The Quarry. The Defiant option may be favoured by individuals who want to drive all characters insane and create as much destruction as possible. It will put Laura and Max’s relationship to the test from the start.
The choices between Compliant and Defiant while speaking with Max, like many others in The Quarry, aren’t really important to the storyline. If you believe you made a mistake, don’t worry; you should still play to see what occurs.
The Quarry will be released on Friday, June 10th, however, the actual date and hour will vary based on the platform and time zone you play in. So keep an eye on this website for more updates.
